The housesitter is briefed. The most
important task of course is to ensure that the starter for making our sourdough
bread is properly cared for. Its name is Stanley the Starter and it is the
ultimate in low maintenance pets and, unlike all other known pets, is useful.
We are moments away from packing. Well The
G packed yesterday – a massive red suitcase full of stuff. I shall be packing
an hour prior to departure. Packing is easy. You take everything you will need
and lay it on the bed. You put half of it back. You pack half of what’s left.
Trust me, you will still have twice as much as you need. Yes, believe it or not
you can wash clothes and stuff while you’re away and you can wear the same
thing twice. See
